A few weeks before your wedding, we have a pre-wedding call to plan your painting in detail, including the scene, composition, colour palette, poses, and any personal elements you would like included, such as pets or meaningful details. On the wedding day, I arrive 1–2 hours before guests to set up and begin painting the background as the guests arrive. Once the newlyweds arrive, I take them for a short exclusive photoshoot to capture reference images that I use throughout the day to ensure accuracy and detail in the painting. The piece is usually completed before the first dance, at which point I present the finished artwork to you, often alongside your photographer or videographer to capture the moment. After the wedding, I take the painting back to my studio for touch ups, adding fine detail, depth, and finishing touches to elevate the piece. Once complete, I send you photos for approval before it is varnished, framed in a white float frame, and delivered to you.

I LOVE chatting with your guests. Guest interaction is a natural part of the experience and something I genuinely enjoy. I actually make the experience interactive by inviting guests to contribute small marks to the painting, allowing them to be a part of the creative process.

Yes. I also offer commissioned paintings created from professional photographs. This allows you to still have a bespoke artwork even if I am not available on your wedding day. Enquiries for commissions are welcome and quoted individually.

I use a combination of acrylic and water-mixable oil paints. Acrylic is used for the background due to its fast drying time and ability to build layers quickly during the live event. Water-mixable oils are used for the portraits, allowing for richer detail, depth, and a more refined, realistic finish.

The live painting is completed on your wedding day, typically before the first dance. Afterward, I complete detailed studio refinement, with the full process usually taking up to 4 months depending on the size and complexity of the piece.
-
Yes. I show you the completed live painting on the wedding day before I leave, and then again send you images after studio refinement for final approval before varnishing and framing.
-
I take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure every painting receives the time, care, and attention it deserves both on the day and in the studio.

Yes. Guests are often part of the experience through interaction and adding their own marks. I guide them through this process so there is no risk of the painting being ruined.
