"you light up my world"

I was inspired to paint the Poolbeg Lighthouse in Dublin because I was drawn to its striking contrast against the dull, muted tones of blue and black that dominate the surrounding sea and sky. I wanted to capture the lighthouse's bold presence and its role as a beacon of hope for sailors navigating the waters of Dublin Bay. The rich history and timeless beauty of this iconic landmark made it a fitting subject for one of my pieces.
